Choose Constructed or MBC Draft before changing cards. If you are preparing for an event, use its published format and ask its organizer about an unclear exception.

These checkboxes are a reading aid. They stay on this page and do not constitute a deck legality ruling.
If you do not use a Rulebreaker commander
Keep the normal Commander deckbuilding checks. The usual baseline is 100 cards including the commander, one copy of each nonbasic card unless another rule permits it, and cards within the commander’s color identity. The format starts at 40 life and tracks 21 combat damage from each commander separately.

If you use Tolabow
Write the chosen additional color next to your deck list. Review instant and sorcery cards under Tolabow’s corrected wording, then inspect other cards separately. If a deckbuilding app disagrees, compare the actual card’s identity, card type and Oracle text before trusting the app’s result.
Resolve a disagreement
Bring the card name, current Oracle entry and the exact rule or release-note paragraph. Explain whether the question is about starting deck construction, a spell on the stack, or a permanent in play. Ask an event judge for event rulings. For an agreed casual variant, settle the exception before the game.
